The Site

This elongated riverside site, extends to approximately 0.79 hectares (1.96 acres), nestles beneath a 9 m retaining wall to Glasshouse Bridge and Ouse Street. It houses Maynards Toffee Factory with chimney and the remains of two stone cottages to the south and the truncated end of the Victoria Tunnel to the west. The remainder of the site is vacant brownfield land.

Developers are now being asked to submit initial details of schemes, this submission must comply with the Design Standards and Design Principles and include a Deliverability Statement. Only submissions which are judged to meet these requirements will be considered for the next stage.

Submission Deadline 11th August - 10.00am

All submissions must be made in triplicate and received no later than 10.00 am on Friday 11th August 2006.
